Memphis vs Atlanta: prediction for the NBA preseason match
Memphis got off to a great start in the preseason. In previous matches Taylor Jenkins' men beat Charlotte (128:98) and were leading over Milwaukee (87:77). Match against Bucks was interrupted after the third quarter. Ja Morant was the best player in Grizzlies' line-up at those matches. Grizzlies' head coach chose to throw his best player into the game since the start. Morant scored 43 points in two matches.
Looks like Morant will play in this match as well. At least there is no reason for him to miss this game.
Atlanta performed badly in their first preseason matches. Hawks were beaten by Miami (99:125), then they suffered a defeat to Cleveland (96:99). As we see, Hawks are not scoring many points. Their leaders played not too many minutes in those matches. Some of them didn't play in the second match.
Atlanta will play the match against Memphis without Trae Young. Clint Capela, Solomon Hill and Danilo Gallinari also won't play in this game.
In 4 out of 7 most recent home matches Grizzlies scored at least 111 points
In five most recent matches Hawks failed to score more than 99 points
It is obvious that Atlanta is not playing well without their leaders. Hawks are not scoring many points in recent matches. We are not expecting a high-scoring performance in this match as well. Without Trae Young it won't be easy for the Hawks.
In our opinion, Memphis will be able to record a victory in the third preseason match.
Our prediction - Memphis to win
Atlanta is not looking well in preseason matches. Young's absence surely won't help them here. We think that Nate McMillan's men won't score many points.
Our second bet is on total under 220,5 points
