Tampa Bay had a difficult series against Toronto in the first playoffs round, but in the quarterfinals they got a unexpectedly easy victory over Florida. The Lightning won four straight games in regulation and were the first team to book a ticket to the semifinals. Tampa looked excellent both on defense and in attack.
